Elliminyt adjoins Colacs southern boundary at Pound Road and extends into the foot hills giving many homes a view over Lake Colac. 'City Living - Country Style' was the motto for the area when it was part of the Colac Shire prior to amalgamation of the Colac Shire and Council as the Colac Otway Shire. The South Colac FNC home ground is located on Main Street as you go up the Elliminyt hill. Opposite is a beautiful park to stop for a break, have a picnic or feed the birds. On top of the hill is the Colac Golf Course, the Turf Club, Shooting Club and Colac Pony Club.

Elliminyt has no shopping centre but Triggy does a great burger in his Pound Road Milk Bar opposite Sacred Heart Primary School and the Mini Mart across the road from Elliminyt School sells everything from petrol to fresh food, takeaways and a sizeable video shop as well. This web site was developed in Colac Otway Web's office a short distance to the south on Main Street. Colac shopping centre is a very short distance away with supermarkets, banks, shops and government facilities. Leading onto Barongarook, Gellibrand and Lavers Hill Main Street is the busiest street in town besides the Princess Highway that runs through the main Colac shopping centre. ElliminytSchool.jpg
